This Beckman Coulter DU 700 Series UV/Vis Spectrophotometer is ideal for research, analytical, and life science labs, these advanced spectrophotometers generate accurate and reproducible measurements. Systems feature a focused-beam design to provide optimal results for small samples. A narrow bandwidth allows samples to be scanned with excellent resolution. The units are equipped with a unique touch-screen interface with powerful, easy-to-use software that has a wide range of applications. Up to 50 user programs or methods can be defined and stored for quick recall. Spectrophotometers feature password protection and USB 1.1 ports for a printer, memory device, and keyboard. Data may be stored in the spectrophotometer or on a USB memory stick. Both the UV and visible lamps feature automatic shut-off and independent operation. To assure performance and adherence to specifications, the system employs startup diagnostics and a wide range of system checks. Performance validation tests check wavelength accuracy and bandwidth, photometric accuracy and reproducibility, photometric noise, stray light, and drift.
Both the DU 720 and DU 730 spectrophotometers are suitable for fixed wavelength, wavelength scan, kinetics/time, and single component analysis (SCA) applications. The DU 730 life science model is equipped with software featuring DNA/protein tools and also handles protein assay analysis, nucleic acid analysis, and dye incorporation.
The nanoSPEC package includes the DU 730 model and the nanoVette fiber optic measurement cell for DNA/RNA and protein nanovolume sub-microliter analysis. This stand-alone multifunctional system comes complete with an integrated touch screen interface, automatic self-calibration, focused-beam 3nm bandwidth performance, auto source UV/Vis lamp on/off, and on-board applications software that eliminates the need for an external computer.
